The Marquis of Northampton's family have owned the 10000 acre estate for over four centuries and it encompasses many of the local hamlets and villages.Dotted around the area is a range of gentle diversions. With walks and views to suit all abilities and tastes. Scour the guidebooks for local flora and fauna you wont be disappointed. There's Golf Riding Fishing and Shooting nearby. More adventurous guests can explore further a field with Silverstone Stratford-on-Avon Bedford Woburn and Althorp all not far away and at Milton Keynes (just 17 miles away) is one of the countries best indoor real snow sky slopes a freefall chamber for adrenalin junkies and a cinema complex.

Directions to The Falcon Hotel
Leave the M1 at Junction 14 and head to Olney on the A509. Turn left at the A428 towards Northampton through Yardley Hastings still on the A428 and then turn right at the signpost to Castle Ashby.Suddenly the world changes from grey motorway to mellow tones of honeyed stone and green pastures. Or let the train take the strain:just 50 minutes from St Pancras via Midland Mainline to Wellingborough.
